  • Ghost Chess: Invented by T. R. Dawson. A captured man is resurrected as a ghost on the square of its demise when the capturer moves away. The ghost assumes the same colour and rank as the piece captured but is itself immune from capture. It can capture an ordinary man but equally creates a ghost when moving away.
  • Double Grasshopper: Makes a Grasshopper move without capturing, then a 2nd Grasshopper move.
